WHOLISTIC GIRLS FULLY ENGAGED DESPITE THE LOCKDOWN
Schools remained close because of the government directive meant to contain the spread of Coronal Virus pandemic. Most schools resulted to e-learning. Schools attended by our daughters (Wholistic beneficiaries) were not exempted, as they all came up with different methods of e-learning program.
Some of the schools started reaching out to their students through text, audio and video messages using Whatsapp. We ensured that we link up with them and gave our beneficiaries and their children all needed support to effectively learn from various classes coming up through the platforms.
Among the schools were some that use, in addition to Whatsapp, the Zoom Application in reaching out to their students. This gives the students an opportunity to interact directly and instantly with their teachers. We ensured that our girls maximize all these opportunities to learn while in the home.
Also, we ensured that our girls regularly follow the program “School on Air” showing on Dove Media as organized by Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management. This added to the opportunities available to the Wholistic Daughters to learn adequately in spite of the closure of schools.
The tutors in the home equally engaged them in different subjects to support what they are getting from their schools’ online classes.
Those of them in higher institutions were also not left out in the e-learning program. We ensured that they all access their school platforms. All resources, facilities, guide and support needed were made available to all of them to attend their online classes regularly and also do their assessments, tests and assignments as given by their lecturers.
